    Hey,

I’m trying to enroll a community college somewhere near Chicago, the Vernon Hills area…my primary concern would be tuition…I am not going to have any other problems such as housing or living in the US…

All I’d like to know is what’s the best solution for me to obtain financial aid…I should probably refer to the fact that I am an international student and will not be able to subject myself to FAFSA application….

    thanks….

    Hi Spitflux,

I’m glad to hear you’re interested in studying in the U.S! This must be an exciting time for you.

To answer your question, there are many scholarships and awards that are available to International students. Colleges and universities offer an abundance of financial aid programs to their students, especially if they are admitted from overseas. Aside from financial aid programs offered directly from the school, there are also external scholarship programs you can apply for.

I encourage you to join LearnHub’s Scholarships and Financial Aid community. Here you’ll be able to access many lessons and articles related to scholarships available to International students.

You mentioned you want to enroll in a college within the Vernon Hills area. Was there a particular school you had in mind? If you provide a school’s name to me, I’d be happy to pull up some information and forward it to you!

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks!

First of all I’d like to thank you very much for taking the time so inquire about my situation….

CLC-College of Lake County….that’s the name of the college i’m looking to study at…the only reason for picking up a community college is the major difference of tuition until I’m going to transfer to a university in Chicago…

I’m going to arrive in Chicago somewhere around mid december and go there personally…but I found this forum and thought you might help with some of my issues until I get there….thx very much once more…
